On May 22, we will hold one of the finest Australian Wine Society events, the wines of d’Arenberg.   Mark Donaldson, Churchill Cellars, Communications Director, will be leading the tasting.   If you don't know him as the writer of Churchill Cellars' Imbiber's Report, from the wine courses he teaches at George Brown College, or from his seminars at various shows, he is the best man for the job.

The wines we will be tasting are:

  • 2000 Dead Arm Shiraz,
  • 1999 Ironstone Pressings GSM,
  • 2002 The Laughing Magpie Shiraz Viognier,

Australian Wine Society of Toronto

The Australian Wine Society (AWS) of Toronto is a not-for-profit organization devoted to the enjoyment of Australian wines. Through exposure to, and education about the wines and wine regions of Australia, the Society seeks to encourage a greater awareness of the wine varietals, the diversity and the styles of Aussie wines, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The opportunity to try a wide range of wines makes it easier for members to decide what types they might want to purchase through wine agents, the LCBO, Vintages monthly releases and the Classics Catalogue.
